When I grow up I want to be a....projects in First class

Over the past few weeks, the first class have been working extremely hard on their first individual project. They each chose a job based on what they want to be when they grow up. The children researched the job, finding out facts on what the job is all about. They designed posters using their  information gathered. We had a presentation day in school where the class dressed up or brought in items related to their chosen job. Pupils from the other classes visited our room looking at our projects.  There was a fantastic effort put in by every child. We are very proud of you. Keep up the great work!!!!

Rólimirt i Rang a Sé

Tá rang a sé ag iarracht an Gaeilge a úsáid i rith an lae. An tseachtain seo rinne siad drámaí beaga dár teideal "An Nuacht". D'ullmhaigh siad go cúramach and bhain siad an-taitneamh as an drámaíocht.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Well done to all our Gaeilgóirí na Seachtaine winners over the 2 weeks of Seachtain na Gaeilge. A big thank you to Mrs.O'Neill's class for  being the Gaeilge monitors in the yard every day.

Irish Dancing Star

A Star is Born right here in Ballingarry as Rudi in Fourth regularly participates (and does rather well) in a lot of feiseanna around the country. Here he is with a trophy he won this weekend.  Great to see all his hard work and dedication paying off.

Building homes

Ms.Shelton's class have been very busy recently exploring the theme of homes. We have looked at different types of homes all around the world, we learnt more about our own homes. We also looked at homes different animals have.  For our Art lesson, we collected recyclable materials and used them to construct a home.  We can't wait to show you what we made. We are going to paint our homes next week so check back to see our finished products.

Food tasting in first class

The first class had a very exciting science lesson  last week. We  investigated fruit.  Some of the fruit was nice but some were very bitter!!!   Can you guess some of the fruit we tasted?
